We would like to inform you about an upcoming scheduled upgrade for Kubernetes to version 1.33 across all environments and regions.
Reason for the upgrade
Standard support for Kubernetes version 1.32 in Amazon EKS will end on March 23, 2026. Starting this date Amazon EKS clusters running on 1.32 with Kubernetes version policy set to extended will enter extended support.

Upgrade Details — Non-PROD environments:
- Target Version: Kubernetes 1.33( Essential release)
- Date: March 09 – 13, 2026
- Time window: EU working Hours ( 09:00 – 18:00 , UTC+1)
Upgrade Details — PROD environments:
- Target Version: Kubernetes 1.33( Essential release)
- Date: March 16 – 20, 2026
- Time window by region:
- US regions: 09:00 – 12:00 (UTC+1)
- EMEA & APAC regions: 18:00 – 22:00 (UTC+1)
Please note that the estimated downtime is up to 60 minutes per cluster in the worst-case scenario.
